1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Cortileo platform, including our website at cortileo.com, the guidebook builder application, and all related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or making a purchase, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Cortileo is operated by Cortileo ("we", "us", "our"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Cortileo provides tools and resources for short-term rental hosts, including:

Template Bundles — Downloadable digital products (documents, spreadsheets, guides) sold as one-time purchases.
Guidebook Builder — A hosted web application that lets you create, customize, and publish digital guidebooks for your rental guests, available via monthly or annual subscription.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete information and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at hello@cortileo.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
Redistribute, resell, or sublicense template bundles or any content created with the Service for commercial resale as templates.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
Upload content that is defamatory, obscene, or infringes on the rights of others.
Interfere with the operation of the Service, including through automated scraping or denial-of-service attacks.

5. Payment Terms

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

Template Bundles: One-time payment. Access is granted immediately after successful payment.
Guidebook Builder Subscriptions: Billed monthly or annually. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the billing period.
Free Trial: If offered, the free trial period is specified at sign-up. You will not be charged until the trial ends, and you may cancel at any time during the trial.
Refunds: Template bundles are eligible for a 14-day money-back guarantee. Subscription refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us at hello@cortileo.com.

All prices are displayed in euros (EUR) and include applicable taxes where required.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, and all template content, is owned by Cortileo and protected by intellectual property laws. Purchasing a template bundle grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the templates for your own short-term rental operations.

Content you create using the Guidebook Builder (your guidebook text, images, and customizations) remains your property. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host and display your content as necessary to provide the Service.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Cortileo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Cortileo in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.

8. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at hello@cortileo.com. Upon termination:

Active subscriptions will remain available until the end of the current billing period.
Published guidebooks will be taken offline within 30 days.
You may request an export of your guidebook data before account closure.
Previously purchased template bundles remain yours to keep.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and applicable member state legislation. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of the jurisdiction in which Cortileo operates.
